“It all began with a love of hospitality and it just grew from there.”
For the love of hospitality.
It all begins with my sweet Colombian grandmother teaching me the importance of giving back to others. Whether that was through a good home cooked meal, a place to sleep or just an ear to listen, her efforts in community engagement were so impactful, I knew I wanted to be just as helpful. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 2 decades in almost every position. I am forever grateful for the experience and consider The Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach my home away from home. It was there that I found my love for food.
Behind the Camera
My interest in photography really began to flourish in 2017 when I was given access to the Stripsteak Miami Instagram account. I was a floor manager at the time and helped curate the Instagram grid on a daily basis. From photos of signature dishes to rare moments of opening vintage wines, I was there to photograph it all. The venue needed no help in showcasing its beauty but I was happy to share it with the world through my lens. It was this daily task that helped me realize I loved photographing food and beverage.
